The architect Josep Vilaseca conceive a work of nature and classical proportions and chose to coat the monument with brick and give it a completely neo Moorish air, a fashionable style in Spain at the time. The combination of the use of brick friezes with all surrounding the arc makes it a singularly beautiful piece.
Some authors speak of eclectic style, others in the dawn of modernism and other end of romanticism and finally there who said it as neomudéjar style.
The Arch has a height of 30 meters and is decorated with sculptural ornamentation of different authors: Josep Reynes, Josep Llimona, Torquat Tasso, Antoni Vilanova, Pere Carbonell and Manuel Fuxà or Magi Fita.
